Our cancellation Policy

At San Diego Surf & Sail, we understand that plans can change, and we do our best to accommodate our guests while also respecting the time and preparation of our instructors.

Please arrive on time to ensure you receive the full benefit of your lesson. Late arrivals may result in reduced lesson time without refund.

Your safety is our top priority. In the event of unsafe weather or ocean conditions, San Diego Surf & Sail reserves the right to cancel or postpone lessons. If this occurs, you may reschedule at no charge or receive a full refund.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

Standard Cancellations

48 hours or more before your lesson: Receive a full refund or choose to reschedule at no cost.
24–48 hours before your lesson: You may reschedule at no cost, but no refunds will be issued.
Less than 24 hours before your lesson or no-shows: No refunds will be given. Rescheduling is subject to a $50 rescheduling fee.

Private Surf Lesson Package Holders

One of the special perks of being a lesson package holder is having extra flexibility when it comes to rescheduling.

72+ hours before your lesson: You can reschedule for free—no fees, no stress.
Less than 72 hours before your lesson: A $50 rescheduling fee helps cover instructor time and scheduling.

To keep things simple, lessons requested to be rescheduled within 72 hours are considered forfeited until the rescheduling fee is paid.

This policy ensures that we can honor your spot, respect our instructors’ time, and still provide you with flexibility as a valued package holder.
